» What is the Learning Site?

The Learning Site is a website that contains all the digital resources and products you purchase from Wayside Publishing. To access your purchased products and resources, you must create an account and sign in.

» What is FlexText?

FlexText is name of Wayside Publishing's e-textbook product. Most paper textbooks are available as FlexText® titles. Page by page, FlexText® is exactly like the printed book, except digital. Purchases containing FlexText® subscriptions can be activated and accessed on the Learning Site.

» What is Explorer?

Explorer is the audio, video, and online activities and resources that go along with each textbook. Explorer courses can be created and accessed on the Learning Site.

» How do I request a sample textbook?

You can easily request a digital sample of most textbooks. Start here by reviewing the instructions. Then visit the web page for the title you want to sample, click the Request Sample button, and sign up for a Learning Site account. All samples can be viewed on the Learning Site.

» How do I make a purchase?

There are several ways to purchase our products. For smaller orders, purchasing via waysidepublishing.com is a great option. Simply browse and add the titles and products you require to your shopping cart. If you need help with a larger order or a multi-year order, contact us for assistance in submitting a purchase order via fax or email.

» Can I receive a quote before ordering?

Of course! Simply email or call and we can put together a quote based on your specific needs.

» Why am I not receiving email from Wayside?

If you are expecting an email from Wayside but have not received it, please check your junk and spam folders. If you still cannot locate it, feel free to give us a call. To ensure you receive all emails, make sure to subscribe to our mailing list at the bottom of the page and add sales@waysidepublishing.com to your email contact and/or safe senders list.

» Can I buy a Student Edition textbook without the online Explorer program?

No. Because each textbook's Explorer online resources are essential components of each program,  access is necessary.

» How do students enroll in an Explorer course?

A student can enroll in a course in one of two ways:

1. Student Self-Enrollment (instructions for students):

a. Register for a Learning Site account and log in

b. Click on Join course on your Dashboard

c. Enter a valid, unused, 16-digit access code

d. Click on Start Subscription

f. Search for your course by course name or teacher name

e. Confirm enrollment

2. Enrollment by Teacher Invitation (instructions for teachers):

a. Enter your course

b. Go to the Students tab

c. Enter the valid email address(es) of the student(s) you want to invite to your course

d. Click Invite

Students will still need to enter a valid, unused access code after they accept the course invitation.

» Why can't I see my Explorer course?

Teachers:
After creating your Learning Site account, you must create an Explorer course by following these steps:

1. Click on New course

2. Select the textbook that you are using with your students

3. Enter a unique name for your course (choose something your students will recognize). Select the course start date and agree to the course creation terms and conditions.

4. Once you have created your course you can access its content at any time by clicking View Course or the textbook cover image on your Dashboard

Students:
After creating your Learning Site account, you must enroll in your Explorer course by following these steps:

1. Click on Join course

2. Enter a valid, unused access code

3. Locate your teacher's course and confirm your enrollment; feel free to use the search feature to find the correct course
