Conversaciones Entre Dos is a conversational support system which presents Spanish students with an opportunity to communicate on a variety of topics. Each one of the forty-five conversational topics can stand alone, according to the needs of teacher and students. The alphabetical index of topic titles provides a guide to the individual conversations.  Facing each page of questions is a vocabulary page divided into three columns.  Words found in the question on the left are listed in the first column immediately to the right of the questions which they occur. The second column lists vocabulary which may be appropriate in an answer depending on the respondent’s needs. Each word is listed with its minimal English equivalent and is identified by part of speech.  The third column is intended to receive vocabulary of the individual or of the class.

 The Tactics program supports an interactive classroom environment in which every student engages in one-on one conversations. It succeeds in this objective by encouraging low intermediate to advanced students to talk about what interests them most –themselves and each other.
