Wayside wraps at L.L.Bean to support Freeport Community Services

Tips and $500 stipend add to FCS funds

Wayside Publishing staff this Monday took a break from their headquarters, located on Route 1 in Freeport, Maine, to volunteer at the holiday gift wrapping station at nearby landmark L.L.Bean. The Wayside staff worked in shifts, wrapping all sorts of gifts, including odd-shaped ones like fishing rods, thermoses, and others.

All tips for wrapping were donated to Freeport Community Services at the end of the day. FCS began in the 1970s as a group of neighbors helping neighbors, in a room above a volunteer's garage, according to its website. It provides services for local individuals and families in the Freeport, Maine area.
