Joseph R. Scott, Jr.’s A.B. in Romance Language and Literature from Harvard College included a life-orienting year of study in Europe. His teaching career in independent schools began upon graduation and was interrupted only by earning a Master of Arts in Teaching (Harvard Graduate School of Education) and a sabbatical in France. His life-long focus on student language learning resulted in an approach designated TACTICS (Through Active Conversation to Individual Communication Skills). His decades of classroom experience, the more than one hundred teacher workshops he led, and previous publications from Wayside Publishing, along with extraordinary technical and pedagogical support from co-authors Lourdes Cuellar and Elizabeth Zwanziger, all have refined the best of TACTICS into En Parlant and Conversemos juntos.
