Wayside Publishing is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to assess software quality through manual and automated testing of the Learning Site platform. If you seek a varied and fast-paced environment and possess a strong mix of applicable skills, we’d like to hear from you!
The SQA Engineer will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs to ensure that our Learning Site platform is stable and reliable. Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail are essential to this role. The SQA Engineer must be able to learn in a meeting environment, understand the software being developed, write in a very structured and thorough way, and be able to clearly describe the step-by-step process for reproducing a software bug. This job requires retesting the same software week after week, so the applicant must be able to work repetitively, but also be flexible enough to work with constantly evolving software. In a small, fast-paced team environment, this role needs to be able to balance work on several projects within the same software application at the same time.
Wayside Publishing is a progressive developer of world language programs, resources, and materials for middle and high schools across the United States. We partner with educators to craft transformative texts and digital tools that engage students and foster successful communication and understanding across cultures.
As a small business, all of our positions require flexibility and occasionally additional responsibilities that may include providing other employees with technical support.
Please note that due to the current Pandemic this position will be remote until further notice.
